I transform wave energy into electricity and fresh water
Seaturns is a simple and compact system made up of just a few elements: a floating hollow cylinder which is 9m long is attached to two anchors in which the inertia of 80 tonnes of water is balanced by the waves. This system makes it possible to produce either electricity or freshwater, depending on whether it is attached to a turbine or a reverse osmosis system. Wave energy has the advantage of generating energy which is more consistent than solar or wind energy. Seaturns is capable of supplying electricity to dozens of households or producing 150m3 of fresh water per day. Ideal for isolated coastal regions.
